Okay... It's finally done. I have NEVER had to edit an image so many times to get it even remotely close to the quality of the vectors that are in the warframe fan kit.
Cutting it out was easy enough, but I had to fill in parts of the image manually (ie. I had to "draw" some of the details back into the image), the most ridiculous color correction I've done in a while (for the record - the lighting on Nova was originally brown), had to re simulate the glow of her sword and armor energy (bloom was off and it was changed to white from cyan in the edited stage). Anyway, this was the most complicated image to date (not even in terms of looks, just in terms of getting nova looking the way I wanted her to look and creating my own vector, and I'm still annoyed at the vector, as it has no anti-aliasing and so has jaggies
). So enjoy guys! If you think this way of doing the images is better/worse (too bad for the latter, as there are no more really usable vectors), ie. taking a screenshot in game and using that, let me know!
This one also has a much more aggressive cyan coloration, tell me if you like it!
As always attributions for the textures are unknown (see Excalibur wallpaper for the link to the YouTube channel who gave them to me), but if your gonna own up to em', please do.
Of course, the image is free, but no CC etc, because I'm dealing with unknown attributions (better safe than sorry).
Total editing time: 1.5 hours cropping nova, 2.5 hours getting the base of the image, 2 hours of fixing and detailing the image. So 6 hours of editing in Photoshop.
